The Day of Three Novices

Today in a brief private ceremony at noon, Abbot Mark and the monks of our community welcomed three young men into the monastery’s novitiate.

Novices 2013

Brother André, Brother Paul, Brother Ignatius

All three novices are alumni of the Saint Anselm College:  Bro. André (Nathan) Boudreau, class of 2006;  Bro. Paul (Scott) LeSage, also class of 2006; and Bro. Ignatius (Andrew) Membrino, class of 2008.

Bro. André’s patron saint is St. André Bessette of Montréal; Bro. Paul’s is the great apostle, St. Paul of Tarsus; and the patron of Bro. Ignatius is the early church father and martyr, St. Ignatius of Antioch.

This is a very joyous day for our community.  May God bring to perfection the good work already begun in these three men.

Wonderful to see this! Since the Abbey of Saint Anselm will always form the cornerstone of the College, it is vital to see its ranks perpetually replenished. Godspeed!

I have sat behind them when Mass is on the alter and have watched these young men over the past year. I am impressed with the qualities that they bring to the Community and look forward to interacting more with them as they proceed to formal vows.

  3. Pamela says:

God Bless them and keep them, and our family will pray for them.
